Product description

KliniTray™ Universal is a versatile transport and imaging system for the fixation and radiological assessment of excised tumour tissue specimens. It enables precise positioning of the specimen in a defined spatial orientation, directly reflecting the surgeon’s perspective. The system is suitable for use in visceral surgery, urology and thoracic surgery, for example in resections of the pancreas (Whipple procedure), thyroid, adrenal glands or oesophagus.

The lightweight, radiolucent plastic plate is equipped with permanently attached orientation markers labelled “cranial” and “caudal”, facilitating anatomical assignment of the specimen during radiological or sonographic evaluation. Fixation is performed immediately after excision using plastic fixation pins. For the large Universal plates, two additional metal pins are also available. This ensures stable preservation of the specimen structure and supports precise assessment of resection margins. Sectioning by pathology is likewise performed directly on the plate, eliminating the need for repositioning and increasing tissue safety.

Thanks to the air- and liquid-tight transport system, the tumour tissue remains securely fixed from the operating theatre via radiology through to histological processing in pathology.
